The mission of a sustainable working life

Physical, mental, and social well-being needs urgent attention. 

Today’s working life has unfortunately proven to challenge the mental, physical and social well-being of employees all over the world. Busy working lives that leave little time to do things that keep us happy and healthy - and sadly the trend on a global level is going in the wrong direction.

In short, we sit down to much, we feel stressed and we have little time to recharge or connect with colleagues.

But the good thing is, that we know we can solve it.

Modern companies all invest in employee health & well-being. We all know it's important to solve the global well-being crisis. The problem is, that - despite the best intentions - most companies never see more than 3-5% adoption of the actual well-being activities. Whether it's the classical mobile app or a modern EAP system, the challenge is the same.

Where Healthy Breaks Began

The Beginning of Pleaz

Playful learning in schools

It all started with the Danish startup Let Leg (Play easy), which Pleaz' two founders Micki and Pernille also built together. Today, Let Leg has helped more than 250 Schools in Denmark implement playful learning and brain breaks. Movement during the school day is important to break up sedentary time as well as to keep focus to be able to learn. And an important bonus is that moving together also makes children thrive better with their classmates and their teachers.

All of these benefits, of course also applies to adults at work - and maybe they need it even more? This was the birth of Pleaz - helping workplaces to improve employee well-being through active and social breaks was our first step.

JUN 2025

Introducing the Well-being by Pleaz app in MS Teams with 3 use-cases, competitions and improved onboarding

FEB 2024

Pleaz launches our Microsoft Teams App, seamlessly integrating into the 'digital offices' that most enterprises use.

AUG 2023

Our revolutionary product enters open beta while preparing the organization for a global launch of the innovative wellbeing tool

MAR 2023

The first alpha testers are being onboarded on the world's first wellbeing product that automatically facilitates healthy activities between colleagues

NOV 2022

After a year of building the core team, growing the company and learning a lot about the market and potential product-market-fit, Pleaz start scoping the new, upcoming proprietary product. 

NOV 2021

Pleaz announces the first investment round; the biggest ever pre-seed round in the Nordics, led by Nordic VC, Scale Capital.The organization brings in a professional Board of Directors, including Scale Capital and local business angels.

DEC 2020

While growing the company steadily and bringing more talented colleagues onboard, Nestlé and Pleaz engages in their first-ever global agreement, broadening to concept from a Nordic to a Global collaboration.

AUG 2020

The founding team brings on more people for the first time, while being invited to join another accelerator program, Innofounder.In the meantime, multiple other companies are being onboarded to Pleaz, who also receives a grant from EIT Health, a body of the European union, for the efforts made to improve the wellbeing of employees during Covid-19.

JAN 2020

After a succesful initial testing with Nestlé in Copenhagen, the concept is broadened across Nestlé in the Nordic, while Pleaz is invited to join the leading Nordic accelerator, Accelerace.

NOV 2019

The founding team enters the first, initial dialogues with Nestlé in Copenhagen, about a digital tool to energize meetings.
